The work is based on the concept of "The Life of the Tree," showcasing a profound exploration of life through the interaction between a withered tree trunk, a vibrant cherry blossom-laden trunk, and the human’s engagement with these trunks. In the piece, the withered tree trunk symbolizes the struggles and loneliness in life, with the person standing independently beside it, representing moments of solitude and vulnerability. The flourishing cherry blossom-laden trunk, on the other hand, represents vitality and hope, with the person entangled in the lush, blossoming tree, symbolizing the close connection and symbiosis with the beauty of life.
Through these visual elements, the work presents a complex depiction of life: the coexistence of decay and abundance, the intertwining of loneliness and symbiosis. The interaction between the person and the trunks not only reflects the different states of human existence at various stages of life but also expresses reflections and inquiries about the essence of life. The piece aims to allow the audience, while appreciating the beauty, to also feel the fragility and strength of life, and the courage to find hope in times of adversity.
