The Water Remembers
The project imagines a body in the midst of transformation, as if it is being slowly claimed and reshaped by the ocean. Water is treated as more than a setting. It becomes a living presence that moves across the skin, alters the body’s outline, and dissolves the boundary between the human form and the world around it. The figure appears suspended in a space between land and sea, between what is familiar and what is becoming unfamiliar, as though it is passing through a quiet process of metamorphosis. Light, ripples, and fluid movement create the feeling that the body is no longer fixed, but gradually opening itself to another kind of existence. The images aim to evoke a sense of myth, mutation, and emergence, suggesting a moment in which the human body begins to take on the surface, rhythm, and presence of marine life.
