Don’t Weep, Willow -2025

Analog Photography

A special creation—"Don’t Weep, Willow". This is a profound tribute and emotional expression, inspired by the designer's mother, a former painter who no longer picks up the brush. Each piece carries the unspoken words that her mother never had the chance to say, much like the weeping willow bending in the wind, yet never breaking. Every detail of the design and photography embodies this deep affection.

What touches me deeply is the collaboration with designer Pearl Lu, who crossed from New York to London to work with me in completing this collection. Pearl thoughtfully transformed her mother’s emotions and silence into fabric and patterns, inspired by mulberry silk from Suzhou, China. Through custom prints of her mother's artwork, the collection conveys silent love and memories. Each garment symbolizes the beautiful life that mothers quietly weave for their children.

This is not just an ordinary mother-daughter story. It speaks through long nights of labor and unspoken words, conveying a refusal to forget. It also represents the resilience and love of our mothers, whose affection remains as enduring as silk, no matter how time passes.
